Test O: Low Washer Fluid Indicator Inoperative
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect washer fluid level switch connector at washer fluid reservoir. Measure resistance between washer fluid level switch terminals (component side). If resistance is less than 5 ohms with float depressed and more than 10 k/ohms with float released, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more with float depressed or 10 k/ohms or less with float released, replace washer fluid level switch.
- Measure resistance between ground and washer fluid level switch Black wire terminal. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire.
- Ensure ignition is off. Remove instrument cluster. See ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C267C. Measure resistance of Green/Black wire between washer fluid level switch and instrument cluster connector C267C terminal No. 2. See Figure. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster. See ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Green/Black wire. Retest system.
