Test M: High Beam Indicator Inoperative
- Turn ignition on. Turn high beam headlights on. If high beam headlights operate properly, go to next step. If high beam headlights do not operate properly, repair headlights as necessary. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C267C. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and instrument cluster connector C267C terminal No. 18 (Orange/Blue wire). See Figure. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open or short in Orange/Blue wire. Retest system. If voltage is 10 volts or more, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ground and instrument cluster connector C267C terminal No. 19 (Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster. See ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in Black wire.
