Test K: Left Turn Indicator Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition on. Place multifunction switch in left turn position. If outside left turn signal operates, go to next step. If outside left turn signal does not operate properly, repair left turn signal as necessary. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove instrument cluster. See ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C267C. Turn ignition on. Place multifunction switch in left turn position. Measure voltage between ground and instrument cluster connector C267C terminal No. 6 (Red/Green wire). See Figure. If voltage alternates between zero and 10 volts, replace instrument cluster. See ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system. If voltage does not alternate between zero and 10 volts, repair open or short in Red/Green wire. Retest system.
