Brake Load Sensor Proportioning Valve

  1. Check length of spring on brake load sensor proportioning valve. See BRAKE LOAD SENSOR PROPORTIONING VALVE  under ADJUSTMENTS. Adjust if necessary. Remove bleeder screws from either LF caliper and LR wheel cylinder, or from RF caliper and RR wheel cylinder.
  2. Connect Proportioning Valve Gauge Set (T92C-202 15-AH) and Front Adapter (T93P-202 15-A1) to front caliper, and Rear Adapter (T93P-202 15-A1) to rear wheel cylinder.
  3. Bleed air from gauges. Press brake pedal until front brake fluid pressure is 853 psi (5884 kPa). Hold pedal in that position and read rear brake fluid pressure. Rear brake fluid pressure should be 478-825 psi (3296-5688 kPa). If rear brake fluid pressure is not as specified, replace brake load sensor proportioning valve.
  4. Press brake pedal until front brake fluid pressure is 1707 psi (11770 kPa). Hold pedal in position and read rear brake fluid pressure. Rear brake fluid pressure should be 814-1064 psi (5613-7336 kPa). If rear brake fluid pressure is not within specification, replace brake load sensor proportioning valve. Remove gauges and bleed brake system. See BLEEDING PROCEDURE  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM.
