Front Brake Caliper: Installation

NOTE: Ensure correct caliper assembly is installed on correct knuckle. Caliper bleed screw should be on top of caliper when installed.
  1. Retract caliper piston fully in piston bore. Install caliper over rotor with rotary motion. Ensure both pads are properly positioned. Lubricate caliper locating pins with silicone dielectric. Tighten pins to 18-25 ft. lbs. (24-34 N.m).
  2. Install brake flex hose banjo bolt with NEW crush washer. Tighten banjo bolt to 30-44 ft. lbs. (40-60 N.m). Fill brake fluid reservoir with DOT 3 brake fluid and bleed system. See BLEEDING PROCEDURE  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
