Test O: Low Washer Fluid Indicator Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect washer fluid level switch 2-pin connector at washer fluid reservoir. Measure resistance between washer fluid level switch terminals. If resistance is less than 5 ohms with float depressed and more than 10 k/ohms with float released, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more with float depressed or 10 k/ohms or less with float released, replace washer fluid level switch.
  2. Measure resistance between ground and washer fluid level switch Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire.
  3. Turn ignition switch off. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  in REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C266B. Measure resistance of Green/Black wire between washer fluid level switch and instrument cluster connector C266C terminal No. 1. See Figure. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. See PRINTED CIRCUIT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair Green/Black wire. Retest system.
