Test L: Right Turn Indicator Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition on. Place multifunction switch in right turn position. If outside right turn signal operates, go to next step. If outside right turn signal does not operate properly, see appropriate wiring diagram in EXTERIOR LIGHTS article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  in REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C266A. Turn ignition on. Place multifunction switch in right turn position. Measure voltage between ground and instrument cluster connector C266A terminal No. 2 (Red/White wire). See Figure. If voltage alternates between zero and 10 volts, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. See PRINTED CIRCUIT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system. If voltage does not alternate between zero and 10 volts, repair open or short in Red/White wire. Retest system.
