Removal & Installation
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Block wheels to prevent vehicle movement.
- Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position. Shift transmission range selector to LOW (1). Tilt steering wheel to lowest position (if equipped).
- Remove the 2 instrument panel finish panel screws. Removal instrument panel finish panel enough to access switch electrical connectors.
- Disconnect rear windshield wiper/washer switch, heated rear window and light switch, emergency warning switch, SECURITY indicator light, cruise control ON/OFF switch, headlight switch connector and autolamp/light switch rheostat resistor connector. Remove instrument panel finish panel with switches attached.
- Remove the 4 instrument cluster screws. Remove transmission range indicator from instrument cluster. Disconnect the 3 instrument cluster electrical connectors. Remove instrument cluster. For installation, reverse removal procedure.
