Temperature Gauge

NOTE: The temperature gauge is part of fuel/temperature gauge assembly. Neither of these gauges is serviceable separately. If either gauge malfunctions, assembly must be replaced.
  1. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Using a jumper, connect coolant temperature gauge "B" terminal to battery voltage and the coolant temperature gauge "G" terminal to ground. See Fig 1.
  3. Connect one lead of Rotunda Instrument Gauge Tester (014-R1063), or equivalent, to the "S" terminal of coolant temperature gauge and the other lead to the "G" terminal of coolant temperature gauge. See Fig 1.
  4. Adjust instrument gauge tester to resistance values shown in Fig. 2. See Fig 1. If coolant gauge does not indicate as specified, replace temperature/fuel gauge assembly.
