Test H: All Warning Indicators Inoperative

  1. Check RELAYS (10-amp) fuse located in interior fuse panel. If fuse is not okay, go to next step. If fuse is okay, go to step 4).
  2. With ignition in OFF position, replace RELAYS (10-amp) fuse. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If fuse fails again, go to next step. If fuse does not fail, go to step 4).
  3. With ignition switch in OFF position, replace RELAYS (10-amp) fuse. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  in REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster connectors. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If fuse does not fail again, go to next step. If fuse fails, repair shorted Blue wire between interior fuse panel and instrument cluster. See WIRING DIAGRAMS.
  4. With ignition switch in OFF position, ensure all instrument cluster connectors are disconnected. Measure voltage at instrument cluster connector C266 terminal No. 5, connector C268 terminal No. 2 and connector C270 terminal No. 9 (Blue wires). See Figure - Figure . If voltages are more than 10 volts at all connectors, go to ste p 5). If voltages are not more than 10 volts at any connector, repair open Blue wire(s) in question.
  5. With ignition switch in OFF position and instrument cluster connectors disconnected, measure resistance between connector C270 terminal No. 6 (Black wire) and ground, and between connector C268 terminal No. 5 (Black/Red wire) and ground. If resistances are less than 5 ohms, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. See PRINTED CIRCUIT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistances are more than 5 ohms, service wire(s) in question.
