Removal & Installation

Remove both brakelines from master cylinder. Remove and plug master cylinder reservoir hoses from master cylinder. Remove 2 master cylinder nuts. Remove master cylinder. See Figure . For installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten master cylinder nuts to 71-97 INCH lbs. (8-11 N.m). Tighten brake line flair nuts to 11-13 ft. lbs. (15-18 N.m). Fill reservoir with DOT 3 brake fluid. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING PROCEDURE  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM.
