Test Y: Left Turn Indicator Never/Always On

  1. Turn ignition on. Turn left turn signal on. If turn signal operates normally, go to next step. If turn signal does not operate normally, repair or replace as necessary.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove instrument cluster. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Remove indicator bulb. Check for continuity between indicator bulb terminals. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, replace bulb.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C276. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Turn left signal on. Measure voltage between ground ans instrument cluster connector C276, pin No. 6 Red/Green wire. If voltage alternates 0-10 volts, replace instrument cluster. If voltage is not as specified, repair open or short in Red/Green wire.
