Test R: Low Fuel Indicator Never/Always On

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove instrument cluster. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Disconnect instrument cluster connectors C276 and C274. See Figure and Figure . Measure resistance of Pink/White wire between instrument cluster connector C276, pin No. 15 and connector C274, pin No. 8.
  2. Measure resistance of the Pink/White wire between ground and instrument cluster connector C276, pin No. 15. If resistance is less than 5 ohms between instrument cluster connectors and greater than 10,000 ohms between connector and ground, replace instrument cluster. If resistances are not as specified, repair open or short in Pink/White wire.
