Test Aa: High Beam Warning Never/Always On

  1. Turn headlights on. Turn high beams on. If high beams operates normally, turn headlights off and go to next step. If high beams do not operate normally, repair or replace as necessary.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove instrument cluster. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Remove high beam indicator bulb. Check for continuity between indicator bulb terminals. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, replace bulb.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C276. See Figure . Turn headlights and high beams on. Measure voltage between ground and instrument cluster connector C276, pin No. 18 (Orange/Blue wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace instrument cluster. If voltage is 10 volts or less, open or short in repair Orange/Blue wire.
