Test Q - Improper RH Turn Indicator Operation

  1. Turn ignition on. Put RH turn signal on. If turn signal operates properly, go to next step. If turn signal does not work properly, see EXTERIOR LIGHTS article.
  2. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove RH turn indicator light bulb. Check continuity between terminals of bulb. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace RH turn indicator light bulb.
  3. Disconnect instrument cluster electrical connector C3. See Figure . Disconnect indicator flasher. Measure resistance between instrument cluster harness connector C3, terminal No. 12 (Green/White wire) and indicator flasher connector terminal No. 1 (Green/White wire). See Figure . Resistance should be less than 5 ohms. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace indicator flasher. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Green/White wire between instrument cluster connector and indicator flasher connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
