Test P - Improper LH Turn Indicator Operation
- Turn ignition on. Put LH turn signal on. If turn signal operates properly, go to next step. If turn signal does not work properly, see EXTERIOR LIGHTS article.
- Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove LH turn indicator light bulb. Check continuity between terminals of bulb. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace LH turn indicator light bulb.
- Disconnect instrument cluster electrical connector C3. See Figure
. Disconnect indicator flasher. Measure resistance between instrument cluster harness connector C3, terminal No. 13 (Green/Black wire) and indicator flasher connector terminal No. 5 (Green/Black wire). See Fig 1
. Resistance should be less than 5 ohms. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace indicator flasher. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Green/Black wire between instrument cluster connector and indicator flasher connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
