Pinpoint Tests

Pinpoint tests can be performed for problem areas of instrument cluster. Use PINPOINT TEST SYMPTOM INDEX  table to determine proper test. Note instrument cluster wiring connector and pin identification before performing pinpoint tests. See Fig 1 -6.

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
