Front Brake Caliper: Installation

  1. Retract caliper piston fully in piston bore. Install caliper over rotor with rotary motion. Ensure both pads are properly positioned. Lubricate caliper locating pins with silicone dielectric. Tighten pins to 18-25 ft. lbs. (24-34 N.m).
  2. Install the brake flex hose banjo bolt with NEW crush washer. Tighten the banjo bolt to 30-44 ft. lbs. (40-60 N.m). Fill brake fluid reservoir with DOT 3 brake fluid and bleed system. See BLEEDING PROCEDURE  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
