Fuel Gauge
- Remove the instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Remove the fuel indicator module from the back of the instrument cluster.
- Using a jumper, connect the fuel gauge "B" terminal to the battery positive terminal and the fuel gauge "G" terminal to the battery negative terminal. See Fig 1 .
- Connect one lead of the Rotunda Instrument Gauge System Tester (021-00055) or equivalent to the "S" terminal of the fuel gauge and the other lead to the "G" terminal of the fuel gauge. See Fig 1 .
- Adjust the instrument gauge system tester to the resistances shown in the table. See FUEL GAUGE RESISTANCE table.
- If the fuel gauge does not operate as specified, see FUEL GAUGE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If the fuel gauge is OK, return to symptom tests.
