Check Engine (MIL)

When a fault is detected by the powertrain control system, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) grounds terminal No. 24. Current flows through the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL), Gray/Red wire and the PCM, causing the MIL to illuminate. See Figure .
