Fuel Indication System: Notes

On the Electronic Instrument Cluster (EIC), the bar-type fuel gauge uses circuitry which senses a linear resistance from the fuel level sensor. As this resistance increases and decreases, the reading on the display will do the same. A fuel indicator module prevents the fuel gauge from rapidly changing with the "sloshing" that occurs within the fuel tank under normal driving conditions.
