Coolant Temperature Sensor Unit
NOTE:
Coolant temperature sensor is NOT the same sensor used as an input to the Powertrain Control Module.
The coolant temperature sensor unit is located in an engine coolant passage. The sensor measures the coolant temperature of the engine. Its resistance decreases as engine temperature increases. The sensor sends a signal to the Electronic Instrument Cluster (EIC).
