Cigar Lighter Knob & Instrument Panel Ash Receptacle

The cigar lighter knob and element is located in the instrument panel ash receptacle. Both items are serviced separately from the console panel. When the cigar lighter knob and element is pushed in, the circuit closes and current flows through the coil to ground. When the temperature of the coil reaches a predetermined point, the cigar lighter knob and element will eject to its original position.
