Fuel Level Sensor

Remove fuel tank from vehicle. Remove the fuel pump assembly.
Measure the resistance between terminal 3(+) and terminal 4(-) of the fuel pump assembly. See Fig 1 .

Adjust the fuel tank float to the following positions. See Fig 2 . See TESTING FUEL TANK FLOAT .

If the resistances are not as specified, replace the fuel level sensor. If the fuel level sensor is OK, return to the Pinpoint Tests.
