Warning Chime System: Notes

Visually inspect the components of the warning chime system for the following:

• Damaged seat belt buckle switch
• Damaged or corroded door jamb switches
• Blown fuse(s): 15A Room Lamp and 15A Tail
• Damaged ignition key reminder switch
• Damaged wiring harness
• Loose or corroded connections

Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections or damage. Verify the headlamp system is working properly. If the headlamp system is not working properly, see appropriate EXTERIOR LIGHTS article to diagnose the system. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the diagnosis.
