Fuel Computer: Notes

Visually inspect the components of the fuel computer system for the following:

• Blown 10A Electron Bat and 10A Meter fuses
• Damaged outside air temperature sensor
• Damaged wiring harness
• Loose or corroded connections
• Damaged fuel computer control panel

Verify the speedometer operates properly. If the speedometer does not work, see SPEEDOMETER/ODOMETER  . Verify the fuel gauge operates properly. If the fuel gauge does not work, see FUEL GAUGE & LOW FUEL WARNING LAMP  . Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections or damage. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and go to diagnostic procedure.
