Charging System Gauge/Warning Lamp: Notes

Visually inspect the components of the charge warning lamp system for the following:

• Worn or damaged generator belt
• Damaged generator
• Blown 10A Meter fuse
• Damaged charge warning lamp bulb
• Damaged wiring harness
• Loose or corroded connections
• Damaged instrument cluster

Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections or damage. If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the following symptom chart.
