Brake Warning Indicator

The brake warning indicator is grounded through the Yellow/Purple and Green/Black wires for a bulb check. If the park brake is applied, the park brake switch closes, providing a ground to the indicator through the Yellow/Purple and the Green/Black wires. In vehicles equipped with daytime running lamps, the brake warning indicator is grounded through the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) module with the park brake applied. If the brake system loses fluid, the brake fluid level switch closes, providing a ground to light the indicator.
