Instrument Cluster Illumination

The electronic instrument cluster illumination and the instrument panel illumination are controlled by the instrument panel dimmer switch, located on the left side of the electronic instrument cluster bezel, and by the timer module. When either side of the dimmer switch is pressed, an electronic signal is sent to the timer module which then outputs voltage to the instrument cluster and panel illumination lamps. The voltage range is from 0.2 volts (brightest) to 9.0 volts (dimmest). However, the dimmer switch does not control the glove compartment or the ash receptacle illumination lamps.
