Visual Inspection
- Visually inspect the components of the brake warning lamp system.
- Improper parking brake adjustment
- Damaged brake fluid reservoir
- Low brake fluid level
- Blown fuse(s): 10A METER and 10A RLY COIL
- Damaged brake warning lamp bulb
- Damaged instrument cluster circuit
- Damaged wiring harness
- Loose or corroded connections
- Verify the charging system warning lamp operates properly on vehicles equipped with analog instrument cluster. If the charging system warning lamp does not work then refer to CHARGE WARNING LAMP .
- Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections or damage.
- If fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and following symptom diagnosis.
