Removal (Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis & Town Car)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Insert hooked tool into slot at base of headlight switch knob to release retaining spring clip. Pull knob from shaft. See Figure-3. Remove dimmer knob/trim bezel from shaft.
  2. Remove left and right instrument panel horizontal trim moldings. Remove cluster finish panel retaining screws. Remove panel.
  3. Remove headlight switch bracket screws. Remove switch and bracket from panel. Unplug switch harness connector. Remove lock nut to remove switch from bracket.
