Removal & Installation (Continental, Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Mark VII, Sable, Taurus & Town Car)
- The hazard switch is part of the MULTI-FUNCTION Switch. Disconnect battery ground cable. On models with tilt wheel, adjust steering wheel to lowest position and remove tilt lever. On all models, remove lock cylinder. See LOCK CYLINDER (FUNCTIONAL) or LOCK CYLINDER (NON-FUNCTIONAL) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in the appropriate STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIP section.
- Remove upper and lower shrouds. Remove multifunction switch from housing. Remove wiring harness retainer, and disconnect electrical connectors from multifunction switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
