Alternator Indicator

Disconnect voltage regulator connector in engine compartment and connect a jumper wire between terminal "1" and ground. Turn ignition on. The charge indicator should glow at full brightness. If it does, replace voltage regulator. If not, check bulb and wiring to alternator indicator.

NOTE: On models with an "ENGINE" warning lamp, disconnect temperature switch lead before testing oil pressure indicator circuit.
