Throttle Solenoid Positioner (TSP)

With Dashpot

1. Ensure plunger extends with throttle open and solenoid energized.
2. Depress plunger in toward collapsed position and ensure resistance is felt but not enough to make it difficult to bottom the plunger.

With Vacuum Operated Throttle Modulator (VOTM)

1. Check that plunger extends and holds when solenoid is energized.
2. Apply 20 inches Hg vacuum to VOTM section using a hand vacuum pump and check that plunger extends and holds.
Vacuum must not decrease to 10 inches Hg in less than 10 seconds.
