Load Restraint Devices
If load-restraint devices such as slotted track, rope rings, slat lining brackets, etc., are installed with an exterior "thru-type" fastener, it should be self-sealing, self-locking with large diameter (minimum 7/8"D) head to prevent surface cracking and crazing. In addition, a high-tack butyl or polyurethane mastic between the device and the interior panel surface is recommended to dampen vibration and enhance overall attachment performance.
