Removal and Installation

Vehicles equipped with adjustable pedals

Disconnect the adjustable brake pedal drive cable.

All vehicles
Remove the brake pedal cotter pin cover and pin.
Slide the stoplamp switch and booster push rod from the brake pedal pin.
Remove the 2 brake pedal bracket-to-column brace nuts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
Remove the 4 brake booster-to-pedal bracket nuts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
Position the brake booster assembly forward enough to allow the brake pedal bracket to clear the booster studs.
Remove the brake pedal and bracket.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
