Check Condition Of Elements For Shock Absorption And Springing - AP32.25-P-3255J

DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
WARNING Risk of injury.  Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of mechanical components when moving components. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
  Preparatory activity     
1 Lift vehicle with vehicle lift.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR00.60-P-1006A
INSPECT Check     
2 Check front suspension struts (1) for damage and fluid loss. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
3 Check that front boots (2) are correctly seated and are not damaged. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
4 Check electrical connectors (4) and electric lines (5) for damage, correct routing and correct mounting. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
5 Check rear suspension struts (6) for fluid loss. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
6 Check that the rear boots (7) are correctly seated and are not damaged. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
7 Check rear elastomer bearings (8) for cracks, deformation and wear; also check for play by firmly tugging and pushing on rear suspension struts (6). IMPORTANT The rear elastomer bearings (8) must be seated with zero clearance in the housing eye, and they must not be cracked or damaged.
If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.

8 Check electrical connectors (9) and electric lines (10) for damage, correct routing and correct mounting. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
  Finishing activity     
9 Lower vehicle with vehicle lift.
