DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

  Preparatory activity     
1 Release parking brake.    
2 Lift vehicle with vehicle lift.

INSPECT Check     
3 Assess the wheel bearings by firmly tugging, pushing and turning at the wheels. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
4 Check rear axle carrier (10) for cracks, deformation and corrosion. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
5 Check rear axle carrier elastomer bearings (11) for cracks, deformation and wear. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
6 Check spring links (1) for cracks, deformation and corrosion. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
7 Check spring link inner elastomer bearings (2a) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
8 Check spring link outer elastomer bearings (2b) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
9 Check thrust arms (3) for cracks, deformation and corrosion. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
10 Check thrust arm inner elastomer bearing (4a) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
11 Check thrust arm outer elastomer bearing (4b) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
12 Check tie rods (13) for cracks, deformation and corrosion. Model 223 (except 223.182) except code 201 (Rear axle steering) except code 216 (Rear axle steering with large angle) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)
If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
13 Check tie rod inner elastomer bearings (14a) for cracks, deformation and wear, as well as for play by firmly pulling and pushing. Model 223 (except 223.182) except code 201 (Rear axle steering) except code 216 (Rear axle steering with large angle) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)
If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
14 Check tie rod outer elastomer bearings (14b) for cracks, deformation and wear, as well as for play by firmly pulling and pushing. Model 223 (except 223.182) except code 201 (Rear axle steering) except code 216 (Rear axle steering with large angle) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)
If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
15 Check tension struts (5) for cracks, deformation and corrosion. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
16 Check tension strut inner elastomer bearings (6a) for cracks, deformation and wear, as well as for play by firmly pulling and pushing. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
17 Check tension strut outer elastomer bearings (6b) for cracks, deformation and wear, as well as for play by firmly pulling and pushing. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
18 Check camber struts (7) for cracks, deformation and corrosion. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
19 Check camber strut inner elastomer bearings (8a) for cracks, deformation and wear, as well as for play by firmly pulling and pushing. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
20 Check camber strut outer elastomer bearing (8b) for cracks, deformation and wear, as well as for play by firmly pulling and pushing. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
21 Check rear axle differential elastomer bearings (12) for cracks, deformation and wear. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
22 Check outer drive shaft boots (15) for fluid loss, crack formation, damage and correct seating. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
23 Check clamps of outer drive shaft boots (17b) for presence, cracks, deformation, corrosion and correct seating. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
24 Check inner drive shaft boots (16) for fluid loss, crack formation, damage and correct seating. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
25 Check clamps of inner drive shaft boots (17a) for presence, cracks, deformation, corrosion and correct seating. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
26 Check drive shafts (18) for cracks, deformation and corrosion; also check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
27 Check linkage level sensor (19) for cracks, deformation, corrosion, ease of movement and correct seating. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
  Finishing activity     
28 Lower vehicle with vehicle lift.
