DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel vapors igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling combustible gases and risk of injury caused by burns during and after operation of heater unit Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed rooms or when refueling. Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves. AS83.70-Z-0002-01A 
WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Perform commissioning of the stationary heater. When replacing stationary heater unit (8).  
REFER TO SELF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06FR
2 Remove right front wheel.   AR40.10-P-1102A
3 Remove front fender. Model 223

    Model 223.0/1

4 Drain off coolant. Model 223 with engine 176

5 Remove nut (1).    
6 Release clamp (2) and remove exhaust pipe (3).    
7 Remove bracket (4). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, support to body *BA83.70-P-1004-02I 
8 Remove coolant hoses (5) from coolant lines. IMPORTANT Collect escaping coolant with a suitable container.
IMPORTANT Seal using suitable stop plug.
 
    SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 2
9 Remove fuel hose (6) from fuel line. IMPORTANT Seal using suitable stop plug.

10 Remove nut (7).    
11 Remove stationary heater unit (8) with holder from body.    
12 Remove stationary heater unit (8) from holder. When replacing stationary heater unit (8).  
13 Install in the reverse order.    
14 Carry out function check of stationary heater. IMPORTANT If the stationary heater unit (8) switches off automatically before reaching its operating temperature and cannot be restarted, a fault interlock is present.
If a fault interlock is present.

Rectify fault interlock with vehicle diagnosis system.
