Charge Refrigerant Circuit In Refrigerator Box - AR86.61-P-1001-01SG

Model 223 

with code 308 (Refrigerated compartment in rear passenger compartment) 

with code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) 

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by welding and soldering work on refrigerant circuit of refrigerator box. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant. Never perform welding work on or near refrigerator box or compressor. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. AS86.61-Z-0001-02H

  1. Close valve (1) on auxiliary fitting (2).

  2. Place suitable scale (5) on a level surface in vehicle.

    NOTES The scale (5) should be in the vehicle. Otherwise the measurement results can be faulty.

    IMPORTANT Use a scale (5) with a precision of ± 1 g.

  3. Connect glass piston (4) between air conditioning service unit and refrigerant circuit of refrigerator box and place on scale (5).
  4. Close shutoff valves (6).
  5. Open valve (1) on additional fitting (2).
  6. Open shutoff valves (6) on glass piston (4).
  7. Fill glass piston (4) with refrigerant.

    IMPORTANT As soon as the display on the scale (5) stabilizes, fills the hose and glass piston (4) completely with refrigerant.

  8. Close valve (1) on auxiliary fitting (2).
  9. Set display on scale (5) to "zero".

    IMPORTANT See owner's manual.

  10. Open shutoff valve (6) at refrigerator box refrigerant compressor (3) and fill refrigerant circuit of refrigerator box with refrigerant FLUID SPECIFICATION .

    IMPORTANT Pay attention to display of scale (5).

  11. Close shutoff valve (6) on refrigerator box refrigerant compressor (3).

  12. Open valve (1) on additional armature (2) and suction off refrigerant in hose and glass piston (4).
