Reduce Fuel Pressure Through Service Valve - AR07.03-P-1460-01SVZ

Engine 279 in model 223 

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by fuel spraying out at high pressure Keep all ignition sources out of hazard area.
Do not carry out any work on system when it is pressurized.

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Relieve the fuel pressure 

  1. Remove cover cap (1) from service connection (2) of fuel distributor.
  2. Insert end of SPECIAL TOOL pressure hose (3) into container (4).
  3. Attach union nut of SPECIAL TOOL elbow fitting (5) to service connection (2).

    IMPORTANT Via attachment of union nut, service connection (2) opens and releases fuel pressure in fuel distributor.

    Collect fuel escaping at end of SPECIAL TOOL pressure hose (3).

  4. Remove union nut of SPECIAL TOOL elbow fitting (5) from service connection (2).
  5. Replace sealing ring of the cap (1).
  6. Attach cover cap (1) to service connection (2) of fuel distributor TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
