Disconnect/Connect Engine Wiring Harness For Removal Of Charge Air Distributor - AR15.18-P-1011-01SB

Engine 256.9 in model 223 

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

12 V ON-BOARD ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ENGINE WIRING HARNESS

  1. Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect.
  2. Remove ground line (2) from engine TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  3. Remove potential distributor (X30/36) from engine TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  4. Release and disconnect electrical connector at CAMTRONIC actuator (M16/70).
  5. Release and disconnect electrical connector at CAMTRONIC actuator (M16/72).
  6. Release and disconnect electrical connector at CAMTRONIC actuator (M16/74).
  7. Release and disconnect electrical connector at fuel pressure/temperature sensor (B4/47).
  8. Release and disconnect electrical connector at camshaft Hall sensor (B6/4).
  9. Remove bracket (3) from engine TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  10. Remove wiring harnesses (4) from engine using SPECIAL TOOL disassembly tool.
  11. Position bracket (3), wiring harnesses (4) and potential distributor (X30/36) outside the working area.

    NOTES Do not crush or kink or subject lines to tension.

    This will result in damage to the lines and can impair their function.

  12. Connect in reverse order.
