Tightening procedure/bolt assignment 

Tightening specifications for right and left cylinder head 

  1. Tighten down cylinder head bolts using the SPECIAL TOOL screwdriver insert or SPECIAL TOOL screwdriver insert.

    Engine 277, 279

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION

    Engine 275, 285

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION

    IMPORTANT Observe tightening procedure, see tightening procedure.

    IMPORTANT Cylinder head bolts must not be retightened.

    If the tightening torque was exceeded on a cylinder head bolt.

    ↓

    Remove cylinder head bolt, check the shank length (replace cylinder head bolt if necessary) and begin to tighten to stage 1.
