| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Disconnect ground line from battery. | AR54.10-P-0051S | |
| 2 | Remove right air filter housing. | AR09.10-P-1152SVZ | |
| 3 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (3) from the secondary air pressure sensor (B89). | ||
| 4 | Detach hose (2) from the air shutoff valves (1) and the air pump (M33) and remove. | Fig 1 | |
| 5 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (6) from the air pump (M33). | ||
| 6 | Remove the screws (5). | *BA14.30-P-1001-01F | |
| 7 | Take out air pump (M33) upwards and towards the front. | ||
| Check | |||
| 8 | Check air pump (M33) for damage. | If damage is present: ↓ Install new air pump (M33). |

| 9 | Check bearings (7) on the bracket (4) for damage and wear. | If damage or wear is present: ↓ Replace bearings (7). |
|
| 10 | Install in the reverse order. |
