Remove/Install Left Circulation Pump For Low-Temperature Circuit - AR09.41-P-6930SC

Engine 176 in model 223

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove bottom engine compartment lining at front and center. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Only install lower engine compartment lining after leak test. AR61.20-P-1105S
2 Disconnect coolant hoses (2, 3). SPECIAL TOOL Clamp Fig 2
3 Remove coolant hoses (3) from coolant pump (M43/14) and collect escaping coolant with suitable container.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
4 Release and disconnect electrical connector (4).    
5 Remove screw (1), remove bracket (5) and remove coolant pump (M43/14).    
6 Install in the reverse order.    
  Concluding tasks     
7 Check coolant level, correct if necessary. FLUID SPECIFICATION Cooling system *BF20.00-P-1001-02MA 
8 Connect vehicle diagnosis system and switch on ignition.    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06FR
9 Start bleeding routine of coolant circuit for 48 V on-board electrical system. IMPORTANT This involves actuating the coolant pumps to remove residual air from the coolant circuit.
If the bleeding routine was not completed successfully:

Repeat bleeding routine of coolant circuit for 48 V on-board electrical system.
 
10 Switch off ignition and disconnect diagnostic system.    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06FR
11 Check coolant level, correct if necessary. FLUID SPECIFICATION Cooling system *BF20.00-P-1001-02MA 
WARNING Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the danger zone. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
12 Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
