Remove/Install Charge Air Line From Check Valve To Additional Compressor - AR09.41-P-8952SB

Engine 256.9 in model 223 

with code M016 (Uprated engine) 

MODIFICATION NOTES

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.		 AS00.00-Z-0017-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove charge air line from check valve (1) to throttle valve actuator (M16/5).   AR09.41-P-8951SB 
2 Remove screw (2).    
3 Remove screw (3).    
4 Release screw clamp (8) until charge air line (4) and charge air line (5) are rotatable.    
5 Remove charge air line (4) from additional compressor (A64). IMPORTANT Check sealing ring and replace if necessary.

6 Remove charge air lines (4, 5) and boot (6) from check valve (1) and take out upward. IMPORTANT Check sealing ring and replace if necessary.

7 Release screw clamp (7) and remove boot (6) from charge air lines (4, 5).    
INSTALLING Install     
8 Install new boot (6) between charge air lines (4, 5).    
9 Attach charge air lines (4, 5) and new boot (6) to check valve (1) first and then to additional compressor (A64). If sealing rings have been replaced,
↓
Wet new sealing rings with lubricant.
Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L		 *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
10 Screw in screw (2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, charge air line to check valve *BA09.41-P-1003-01MRT 
11 Align marking (arrow) of new boot (6) with marking of charge air line (5).    
12 Tighten screw clamp (7). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw clamp, boot between charge air lines *BA09.41-P-1009-01MRT 
13 Screw in screw (3). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, charge air line to timing case *BA09.41-P-1004-01MRT 
14 Tighten screw clamp (8). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw clamp, boot between charge air lines *BA09.41-P-1009-01MRT 
15 Attach charge air line from check valve (1) to throttle valve actuator (M16/5).   AR09.41-P-8951SB
