Do not fill low-temperature circuit without activating fill mode.
Proper distribution of the coolant is otherwise not ensured.
Only fill and bleed low-temperature circuit when engine is cold.
Drainage tank of
low-temperature circuit adaptation must be empty prior to starting work.
- Position coolant reservoir (4.1) of
vacuum-type cooling system filler at same height as low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir (1).
Attach tester cap (2) to low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir (1).
Connect pressure pump to tester cap (2).
- Apply test pressure to low-temperature circuit for 2 min.
Do not exceed the test pressure.
If pressure loss is displayed:

Perform visual check of coolant-conducting component parts.
Remove pressure pump.
- Connect control unit (3) to
tester cap (2).
- Connect Venturi nozzle (9) to control unit (3).
- Close drain valve (8) and feed valve (7).
- Connect feed hose (4) for coolant to coolant reservoir (4.1).
Always fill up coolant reservoir (4.1) completely to prevent intake of air into coolant reservoir (4.1) and to verify filling capacity of low-temperature circuit in vehicle.
- Insert drain hose (5) into an empty tank (5.1).
- Connect compressed-air hose (6) to Venturi nozzle (9) and apply pressure.
The overpressure in the compressed-air supply system must be at least 8 bar so that sufficient vacuum can be generated by the venturi nozzle (9).
- Open the drain valve (8).
A vacuum is generated in low-temperature circuit.
- Open feed valve (7) until feed hose (4) has filled with coolant, then close feed valve (7) again.
- Close drain valve (8) if display of the control unit (3) is in the green area.
- Disconnect compressed-air hose (6) from Venturi nozzle (9) and observe whether vacuum remains stable for 30 s.
If this is not the case,

Check hoses and connections for damage, repair if necessary and again create a vacuum.
- Move switch (11) of
electric vacuum pump (18) to 0 position.
- Connect positive and negative clamps of
electric vacuum pump (18) to a suitable 12 V voltage source.
Observe polarity of positive and negative clamps of
electric vacuum pump (18).
Otherwise,
electric vacuum pump (18) will be damaged.
- Attach bracket (12) to
NTKL adaptation (13).
- Connect hose (14) to the
NTKL adaptation (13).
- Close off shutoff valves (15, 16, 17).
- Attach hose (20) to the
NTKL adaptation (13).
- Decouple venturi nozzle (9) and replace by a hose (20).
Switch in electrical vacuum pump (18) and open stopcock (15).
- Open the drain valve (8).
The feed valve (7) must remain closed.
Evacuate low-temperature circuit for 5 min. Pointer of vacuum display (19) must be above 0.9 bar mark.
- Close drain valve (8).
Switch off electrical vacuum pump (18).
- Disconnect hose (14) and reduce vacuum in
low-temperature circuit adaptation (13) until vacuum display (19) shows 0.0 bar.
- Check low-temperature circuit for leaks for 30 s (visual check).
- Open feed valve (7).
Low-temperature circuit is filled.
Low-temperature circuit is filled when control unit (3) shows 0.0 bar.
- Open drain valve (8) if coolant is no longer suctioned.
- Remove control unit (3) along with all connections and
tester cap (2).
- Correct coolant level in low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir (1).
- Attach cap (1.1) to low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir (1).
