	Remove/install
1	Remove engine air intake duct (1) upstream of right air filter.	Dismantling tool	Fig 2
2	Carefully open cap (2), release overpressure, and remove cap (2).
3	Suction off coolant from coolant expansion reservoir (3).	Hand pump	Fig 1
4	Release and disconnect electrical connector (4).
5	Remove coolant hose (5) from coolant expansion reservoir (3).	Capture escaping coolant using suitable means.	AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
6	Remove electrical wiring harnesses (6, 7) from coolant expansion reservoir (3).	Dismantling tool	Fig 2
7	Remove coolant hose (8) from coolant expansion reservoir (3).
8	Remove expansion rivet (9).	Dismantling tool	Fig 2
9	Carefully pull coolant expansion reservoir (3) out of elastomer bearings until coolant hose (10) is accessible.
10	Release and disconnect coolant hose (10).	Capture escaping coolant using suitable means.	AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
11	Remove coolant expansion reservoir (3).	Wet elastomer bearings on holder of coolant expansion reservoir (3) with lubricant. Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L	*BR00.45-Z-1010-06A
	Check
12	Check elastomer bearings of coolant expansion reservoir (3) for damage.	If damage is present, ↓ replace respective elastomer bearing.
13	Remove plugs (11, 12) at coolant expansion reservoir (3).	If coolant expansion reservoir (3) is replaced.	AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
14	Install in the reverse order.
	Concluding tasks
15	Check coolant level, correct if necessary.	Cooling system	*BF20.00-P-1001-02MA
16	Connect vehicle diagnosis system and switch on ignition.

17	Start bleeding routine of engine cooling system.	This involves actuating the coolant pumps to remove residual air from the engine cooling system. If the bleeding routine was not completed successfully: ↓
		Repeat bleeding routine of engine cooling system.
18	Switch off ignition and disconnect diagnostic

	Risk of burn injuries , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. 	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 20	Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
