Rear Fender Complete Preparation For Installation - Ar63.50-P-1401-02S

The next steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle for model 223.1 and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle in the event of damage.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Mark separating points on rear fender (1) (areas A, B).

   Transfer separating point from vehicle and add approx. 50 mm for fitting.

2. Cut separating points on rear fender (1) (areas A, B).

3. Grind mating surfaces on rear fender (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

   Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal on both sides (areas E). Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

4. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
