Perform Redocumentation Of Windshield - AR67.10-P-1700-11S

29.08.2023 Depending on the vehicle status, a second windshield label (1) (with the same information content) is located in the area of the carrier plate.
This can also be scanned in the installed status of the windshield.
Operation step 3.  

IMPORTANT To prepare the redocumentation, the "Mercedes-Benz PartScan" app must be installed on a mobile terminal that has a camera and a mobile data connection. The "Mercedes-Benz PartScan" app is available in the respective app stores for Apple and Android devices.

IMPORTANT A mobile Internet connection is required for installation and data transfer.

IMPORTANT Download the "Mercedes-Benz PartScan" app from the Apple App Store for Apple devices or from the Google Play Store for Android devices. (The download procedure is similar to that for other apps.)

  1. Scan the QR code shown above using the "Mercedes-Benz PartScan" app to carry out the login authentication.

    IMPORTANT Ensure that only authorized workshop personnel have access to the QR code.

  2. Scan the vehicle identification number on the FIN label (6) on the B-pillar by tapping the "Scan FIN" (2) button in the "Mercedes-Benz PartScan" app or alternatively enter it manually.

    IMPORTANT After scanning or entering the information, compare the vehicle identification number shown in the "Mercedes-Benz PartScan" app with the windshield label with data matrix code (1) on the vehicle and correct any scanning errors/input errors.

    IMPORTANT All required data can also be read off and entered manually.

  3. Scan the data matrix code on the windshield label with data matrix code (1) of the old, removed windshield using the "Scan old part" (3) button in the "Mercedes-Benz PartScan" app or alternatively enter it manually.

    IMPORTANT The windshield label with data matrix code (1) is only visible when the windshield is removed. The windshield label with data matrix code (1) is located on the inside of the windshield at the bottom edge of the black print.

    IMPORTANT Depending on the vehicle status, a second windshield label (1) (with the same information content) is located in the area of the carrier plate. This can also be scanned in the installed status of the windshield.

    IMPORTANT After scanning or entering the information, compare the windshield ID shown in the "Mercedes-Benz PartScan" app with the windshield label with data matrix code (1) on the windshield and correct any scanning errors/input errors.

    IMPORTANT All required data can also be read off and entered manually.

  4. Scan the data matrix code on the windshield label with data matrix code (1) of the new, still not yet installed windshield using the "Scan new part" (4) button in the "Mercedes-Benz PartScan" app or alternatively enter it manually.

    IMPORTANT After scanning or entering the information, compare the windshield ID shown in the "Mercedes-Benz PartScan" app with the windshield label with data matrix code (1) on the windshield and correct any scanning errors/input errors.

    IMPORTANT All required data can also be read off and entered manually.

  5. Tap the "Send" button (5) to send the entered data and thus complete the redocumentation.
  6. In the event of any support inquiries, make a note of the scan ID shown at the end and store it safely.
